Upper Mississippi Academy Finds its Permanent Home

The new home of Upper Mississippi Academy is at 19 E. Exchange St. in downtown St. Paul, formerly occupied by McNally Smith School of Music. UMA will share the building with History Theatre.
The site has convenient public transport and a short walk to the Capitol, History Center, Fitzgerald Theater, Science Museum, Central Library, Landmark Center, Mississippi River Visitor Center and more. Discussions of collaboration with History Theatre have already started, and many business, government and community partnership possibilities are available, all within walking distance.
As the school continues to teach from values of collaboration, community engagement, creativity and discovery, the new space allows UMA to reach its capacity of 425 students in grades 6-12.
